I was pointing out the quest affinity lock for Ihateeverybody who didn't seem to know about it.When traveling with MacCready long enough for his affinity rating to reach between 250 and 500, MacCready will talk to the Sole Survivor and tell them about Winlock and Barnes, and how he wants the Sole Survivor to go to the Mass Pike Interchange and kill them. I mean, this doesn't affect me, as I said I already have MacCready's perk and did his quests, I was just more curious as to whether not getting affinity from stealing was a bug or if Bethesda just made it so it takes forever despite there being very few places where you can actually steal things save for Diamond City if you unlock the settlements. Using the console to BYPASS the affinity lock however will most DEFINITELY create bugs with the companion. If you get enough affinity for a companion's quest and don't do it, the game will lock their affinity system after a certain point until you finish it. Cait is probably the worst offender for it because her quest isn't activated until 750 affinity so her affinity cap is 999 until you complete her quest lol. If so just redo the modav command with whatever it was +10). That should add 10 points and get it unstuck after a cooldown (or it could reset you to 10 affinity I can't recall (think that is setav). Target him in console and type getav ca_affinity and enter

I'm aware of the cooldown, but did they just take it to the extreme or something because it's been at least a week maybe more of in game time since I stole from Goodneighbour and I just randomly got "MacCready like that" to stealing something despite having stolen at least one item a day to try and get it to work.
